Two hundred students who fled for safety on Friday night after bandits attacked the Government Science Secondary School, ?an?ara, in Katsina State, have been safely returned.
This comes amid reports that hundreds were abducted during the raid.
An unofficial count of missing students in the school has been put at 54.

However, the State’s Police Spokesperson, Gambo Isah and the Principal of the school, Usman Abubakar confirmed this yesterday.
Recall that it was earlier reported that armed with sophisticated weapons, the bandits stormed the school in their numbers and attacked the students in an operation that last for about an hour.

Meanwhile, the State governor, Aminu Bello Masari has directed that all schools should be closed as a result of the recent abduction in the State.
The governor announced the closure of Schools when he visited the GSS, Kankara yesterday.
